About & methodology
PFAS Disclosure Radar is an independent project that makes Minnesota's public PFAS-in-products reports easier to browse and monitor. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse (IC2) or the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).
Source
All figures come from the public search data of PRISM (PFAS Reporting Information System for Manufacturers), which IC2 operates under contract with the MPCA. Manufacturers report under Minn. Stat. § 116.943; the MPCA publishes reports after reviewing them for completeness and trade-secret claims, on a rolling basis (MPCA: PFAS in products data; MPCA: Reporting PFAS in products). Only fields shown in PRISM's public search are used; no contact details are republished.
Method
- The dataset is re-downloaded weekly and pages are regenerated.
- A "row" is one PFAS in one component of one product model, as reported. Rows are not products and not a measure of risk.
- Chemicals are grouped by the CAS number at the end of the reported PFAS name; entries without CAS are grouped by name.
- "Published" dates are PRISM publication timestamps (UTC). The weekly digest compares report-level snapshots (report ID, rows, publication date) between weeks.
Limitations
Data is as reported by manufacturers and can change. As of Oct. 21, 2026 the MPCA had published about 20% of reports received, so absence from this site does not mean a product is PFAS-free. This is not a compliance determination or legal advice. Always confirm in PRISM.
Current dataset
- 284,626 rows · 276 reports · 238 manufacturers · 1,581 brands · 22,761 component names · 261 PFAS entries (177 CAS numbers)
- Fetched Oct 25, 2026; latest publication Oct 19, 2026.
Need the raw records or alerts?
The PFAS Product Disclosure Radar on Apify exports PRISM disclosures as JSON/CSV/Excel, filtered by brand, manufacturer, CAS number, component or PFAS function, and can run on a schedule to flag only new records. Pay per result (about $1 per 1,000 records).
